Amyra Dastur made her debut in the film industry with the movie Issaq. This movie had Prateik Babbar in the lead role. The movie failed to click at the box office but she got good fame for her good looks and acting skills. She was able to get offers from South film industry over the next few years.
In the year 2015, she made her Tamil film debut with Anegan along with Dhanush as the lead actor. This became a huge hit and established her as an actress in south cinema industry.
