Anupama Parameshwaran started her career in the film industry with the hit movie Premam in Malayalam. She played the role of Mary George and her character became very famous. She was later seen in a small role in James and Alice movie in the same industry. In 2016, Premam was remade in Telugu and she was offered the same role. She made her Telugu debut with this project and won an award for her performance.
In the same year, she was part of A Aa movie which had Samanta and Nithin in lead roles. This was a commercial success and she played the supporting role in this movie.
