Ashika Ranganath started her career as a model and made her appearance in the beauty contest Clean and Clear Face. She got the second place and this boosted her confidence to continue in the entertainment industry. During this time, her sister was already acting in serials and movies and this helped her to get the needed help from film makers.
She got selected for Crazy Boy movie and this got her decent recognition. Even though the movie was not a huge hit, she got fame for her good looks and acting skills.
