Bagavathi Perumal started his career in the film industry by working as an assitant director for Gautam Menon. He has worked in the technical department for the movie Kaaka Kaaka which became a huge hit. He later made his debut as an actor with the movie Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom. He played the role of Bucks in the movie and this later became his nickname in the film industry.
He was part of the movie Oru Kanniyum Moonu Kalavaanikalum in the year 2014. This year also got him another huge hit in the form of Jigarthanda. He played the role of cameraman in this movie which set many records. After this he became a busy artist and did almost four films every year.
