Kamaal R Khan started his career by playing a small role in the movie Sitam. This was released in the year 2005 and he played a Don in this movie. After this, he was part of Tu Hamaar Ho in 2006. Such movies did not give him much fame but he still continued with his efforts and was part of Munna Pandey Berozgaar movie in 2006.
The movie Deshdrohi which was released in 2008 created some controversy as it was based on riots and this got him good publicity. He was again seen in Jimmy in 2008. After that, he was part of Bigg Boss program in the third season in 2009. He was eliminated after he got into a fight with another contestant.
He became very controversial during this phase and stopped acting in movies. He focused on his business and became a part time film critic.
