Shweta Menon started her career in the entertainment industry when she was doing college in Kerala. She was part of the movie Anaswaram in the year 1991 and this became her debut project. After this, she was part of movies like Koushalam and Nakshra Koodaram. She later became Miss India Asia Pacific in the year 1994 and this opened the doors for Hindi film industry.
She was part of movies like Ishq and Bandhan in the early days of her career. In many of her movies, she was given dancing characters as she had the hot looks.
