His television career began from 2001 to 2003 with his role as Sameer on the television drama “Kabhi Aaye Na Judaai”. During the television series “Saara Akaash” (2007), he played the role of Sikandar, an ISI agent alongside other stars Sai Deodhar, Shakti Anand, Sonal Sehgal, Kiran Kumar, and Parmeet Sethi. Between 2003 and 2004, Tarun appeared as Praveen Sengupta in “Kasautii Zindagii Kay”, a long-running Star Plus series. Between 2005 and 2006, he was the supporting actor Yuvraaj in the comedy serial Kituu Sabb Jaantii Hai. The plot centers around the life of a middle-class girl. From 2006 to 2007, he starred in the tv series “Kuch Apne Kuch Paraye” telecast by Sahara One as Aditya Raichand. He played Hanuman in the 2008 mythological show “Jai Shri Krishna”. His popularity later soared following his portrayal of Lord Shiva in the mythological television series “Santoshi Maa” on &TV from 2015 to 2017. Beginning with mythological serials, he worked mostly on them. He appeared as Lord Shiva in “Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush”, “adha Krishna”, “Paramavatar Shri Krishna”, “Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki” and “Devi Adi Parashakti”.
