Career
During her study of journalism and mass communication at PSG College of Arts and Science she used to perform at streets of Coimbatore for various environmental and social awareness. Many of these drama are organized by her college professor CR Jayaprakash. She has directed more than fifteen short films also acted in all these. In 2021 she started her TV career with the reality show “Sagalakala Vallavan”. In 2010 she started her professional; journey as a director with the film “Malarmathi” for that she won best film and best director award at Legend 2010. she also directed “Konangal Widow Marriage” for this she won several awards as well.
As an film actress she started her journey with the “Ammani” in 2016 where she played role of Salamma frustrated daughter-in-law. After that she worked in several movies throughout her career. In 2017 she worked in “Magalir Mattum” and “Kurangu Bommai”. in the year 2018 she appeared in “Street Lights” as a Malar, Mani’s mother. In 2019 she worked in “Thambi“ and “Sillu Karupatti”. She made her debut in Kollywood industry in 2020 with movie “Ponmagal Vandhal” along with Jyothika. In the same year she also did “Vadham”. recently in 2020 she appeared in “Maadathy” as a mother of Maadathy and “Mmmmm”.
Throughout her career she won many awards. She also won the reality show named “Sagalakala Vallavan” published on Kalaignar TV in 2012 for her excellency in Dancing, Acting and Singling.
